fly, it only did the blinking thing once and it was consistent blinking for about 6 sec or so...other than that it just comes on at random.
red, i havent installed anything new but i did have a problem with the right rear blinker the connection became loose and the wires wouldnt stay in. but last night i fixed it with super glue and silicone but today it came on again after i got my tires mounted...

No, you have to pull the codes. There will be a connector close to the turn signal relay under the seat that has a cap, or (dummy connector) on it, remove the cap. Then jump the terminals that have the brown and green wires. Now turn the ignition onto the run position with engine off and count the blink patterns. There will be long blinks and short blinks. Report back after that.

and he means how many times does it actually blink, not number of sets of blinks. the bike has not led screen that can display words, so if there is an error it can only tell you by blinking. count how many blinks in the first set, and how many in the second set. how many blinks when it does it "randomly" as you said, and what your doing when it does blink randomly.
if we know how many blinks it is, we can look it up in an errror log and see what the bike is telling you is wrong.. lol
