Default 2007 pearl white 600rr good buy?

2007 Honda CBR600RR

Hi guys going to see this bike tomorrow, don't have any info on it yet, im just going to see if its in good condition. but anyway i was wondering if anyone knows anything about the pearl white color, i know its limited edition, but someone else selling one,(that was in bad condition) told me they only sold this color in the states not Canada, is this true? one thing sketchy about this is that it only has 6000km on it. but has already had two owners! that kinda sets alarm bells off for me.so if anyone has any tips about what to look for when buying this it would be much appreciated.

So I have a question...why does 2 owners and 6K or aprox 12 K miles seem sketchy ? Would you not by a car with the same ?

I never understood why people seem to think that a bike cant be riden more then a few thousand miles before its no good any more.

Before I wrecked my F3 after 10 years and 45K miles it ran perfect !!!
I just got rid of my 04 1KRR with 26K miles and it ran like a top !!

I can understand if the bike was stunted or dragged raced and owned by a young guy but if its been taken care of and riden like it should be then you shouldn't be worried about miles.

As far as it not being sold in Canada in the pearl white I cant help you, if you dont get that answer here you can always check 600RR.net

the reason its sketchy is b/c not alot of people buy a bike then go and sell it 6k later.it could be a write off and the guy just got a new gauge cluster and is selling it with "6k km" or he's unplugged the odometer for awhile. But after talking to the guy and checking his records everything checked out. When i took it for a test ride i checked to c if the odometer was working cuz sometimes they will stop working, and u end up buying a bike with 6k but its really 30k.

Since your in Canada, where weather limits the riding season, wouldn't it make sense that the bike wasn't ridden that much? Not everyone lives on their bike, putting hundreds of daily miles on them. Not to say that its not fraudulent mileage, but use your judgment.
I have a friend that just sold her white 08 600rr in perfect condition with 1200 miles in 4 years. Life got in the way, and she hardly rode it. That's why she sold it...

no ya thats very true, i just had to make sure it was that situtaion. and the bike looks like its in brand new condition, so it is. expect it looks like he dropped it on the right side, which he admitted to, but its says in the ad never dropped. so i dont know y he put that in. there are alot of minor scratches almost everywhere tho, hopefully he will go down to 6000.he said his bike died on him once and he had to tow it to a dealership, the service records shows a part number but i dont know what it is. n when i was riding it it look like the front cowl led marker light rattles alot, hopefully thats an easy fix

Yeah don't worry about the miles. My had 2600 on it after 5 years. The guy bought it thinking it was was going to be awesome but it scared him and it just wasn't what he thought it was going to be. Now when you said he dropped it on the right side, what kind of damage are we talking about? I would call him out on him and try to low ball him. I think you would have the upper hand here because he lied to you and can prove it so what else is he lying about...One thing about these bikes is they are extremely reliable so I wouldn't worry to much about the drop hurting it. Not sure if the color scheme was only offered in the US but it is my favorite scheme and would have bought one if I could have found it.

the clutch covering/case is all scraped up, not to mention almost every part of the bike has noticeable scratches. he obv dropped the right side b/c of the previously mentioned damage and the brake lever is completely bent back. im going to try and get him down to 6000 b/c of all the minor damage. (but to me major) i just wont find a another pearl white with this low of km

I bought my F4i that was 8 years old and had 15,00kms on it.
I know have 50,000kms and still runs like a dream, as for not being available colour in Canada? I know 2 guys in Ontario with that colour plus you have already looked at one (Bad condition) and found another one? Either alot have been shipped here or your info isn't quite correct.

Also if you find a different coloured one with low kms and cheaper you could always just buy those fairings aftermarket for about $500 and have the same bike

So in the ad it says never been dropped, but he admitted to dropping it? I would probably take my money somewhere else.

ya i asked him about it, n he said it was "scraped" not dropped so.. ya lol
as for the color this bike is foreign, from the states.which leads me to believe that this color scheme was only sold in the states b/c every pearl white 07 600rr ive looked at is a "foreign import" on the insurance papers. not that there's anything wrong with that the bike i have now(2004 honda 599) was made in italy and sold in california.

How does a clutch cover get scraped up without the bike being on its side and moving?
