I just assumed my battery has given a good amount of life over 4 years time and 12K miles, if I new one doesnt fix the problem then ill look further into it. Thanks for the info though. BTW, what is "HID ballasts"??

ORIGINAL: NextYearCubFan

It's the piece of equipment that the HID bulb connects to. If you go to your local grocery store and look up at the long-tube flourescent lights. they are sitting in ballasts. HID ballasts use more voltage than the OE bulbs.

I'm having the same issue. Once the bike temp reads about 220 I'll shut it off. When I try to restart it again itcranks slowly a few times and then stops cranking. If I let it cool down for 15 minutes it starts fine. I called the dealerand her suggested replacing the battery. $130 later and it still does the same (It probably needed to be replaced anyway. It was the original bat). How do you test the R/R to see if its bad?
