09 RR anyone heard anything??
I have done so many searches and on other sites too and havent heard any answers that are solid. I was hoping to see some pics or something by now. I know its early but being this is HONDAS year and the changes made to the 1000 were made last year..... Has anyone seen or heard anything at all. Alot of talk on other web sites saying color change only and what not....and one guy said that ABS was going to be put on the bike..WTF?? I was hoping to find out about the exhaust and whether it was going to remain in the center @ tail... the gp style just hasn't grown on me as of yet. Any feedback is welcome.

As far as I know little is known. There was an article released not too long ago by a legitimate source stating that all 09 Honda bikes will be equip with ABS.
Also, the current gen 600 is amazing and doing well all around, why would they change it if they dont have to?

I'm not sure, but you guys tell if I'm wrong, the 07-08 doesnt come with slippery clutch, right?
dont you think is about the time that Honda should put this feature on CBR, almost all of the other 600's have slippery clutch, i was reading reviews and this is the only con comparing with other '08 600's

slipper clutch would be coolio. abs kinda cool. they arent going to integrate anything as far asindicators go tho, its just a honda thing. i hope they keep the old school rsv 51 look with the single intake, i think its sweeeet. but they will deffinitely redesign the plastics a little bit, look at 03/04 to 05/06... almost the same but the newer version is just sleeker and more cut, more aggressive. they will do the same things and maybe add some little bits and peices of honda genius on hte inside

Most bike will never see the level of aggression requiredfor a slipper clutch. Honda felt it was better to put the expenditure elsewhere, and I agree. For the current gen they added a stock stabilizer, which IMHO is what Tadao Baba (sp?) wanted to avoid (I recall reading something attributed to the CBR project leader that a steering damper is for a poorly designed bike).
Honda has also followed suit with other manufacturers with making a track bike and converting it into a streetbike, again a break in tradition from the original CBR concept.
ABS in a sportbike would be ghey. Linked brakes in a sportbike is ghey (remember the VTR and Blackbird???).
Honda MUST come out with something this year. The Yamahas have been walking over the Honda HP this year in FIM Supersport, AMA SS and FX.

I would like to think they would do something a little out of the norm....the yamahas and gixers went to gp style exhaust which is growing on me....only from my friends new 1000k.....maybe a gear indicator or relocated rear brake res.....I really like the undertail exhaust.... wait and see I guess

This is a list that I'm expecting to see on the 09/10 models........that is if Honda wants to keep their bikes at the top of the list......
- Slipper Clutch (it would help at the track and for the more aggressive downshifters)
- Minor Styling Tweaks (slight body plastic revisions, and a slightly refreshed look)
- Minor Suspension tweaking for better stability and traction.
- Built-in Gear Indicator (not desperately needed, but it would be a very nice thing to have)
- Different color schemes, with new colors (maybe pearl yellow to make a comeback?)
- Refined motor and transmission to operate smoother.
And if the articles and rumors are right, either ABS or an ABS option.
