09 Drive Sprocket

09 Drive Sprocket
Sorry in advance for my ignorance. I'm changing sprockets and chain on my son's 09 CBR600RR and the drive sprocket is a little loose on the shaft after being torqued down. I didn't notice if it was like this on the stock sprocket. Is this normal? Also, there is a rubber piece on both sides of the stock sprocket, but not on the new one. OK? All input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Not sure, it's been a while since I changed mine. Since it's on a toothed shaft,
if it's secure from running off the end, it probably can't hurt anything. It's probably a
built-in tolerance. As far as the rubber pieces, will they transfer to the new sprocket
and possibly tighten up the play?
Sorry I can't give you more, but I'm not familiar with the newer bikes. Hopefully, your
bump will get you the attention of one of the newer bike guru's who can give you a
definetive answer. I just wanted to post to let you know, that you're not alone.
The parts fiche doesn't show anything unusual that I can see....
