Default 07 won't start

I rode to work this morning just fine. Then I rode to go work out and then home to take a shower. When it was time to go back to work, I rolled back from the house and no go. It powered up fine, I couldn't hear the fuel pump prime but I had my helmet on and couldn't really hear too well, but anyway, the starter just kept turning and turning to no avail.

To clear up the "are you a dumbass" questions: Yes, the key was on, yes it has gas, yes the kill switch was in the run position, no it hadn't been tipped over, yes I tried it in neutral and in gear.

Any tips or questions please ask, I'm at work now, but will be troubleshooting as soon as I get home. Thanks for your help in advance.

Got home and turned the key and the pump didn't prime and no go. But I turned the key again and it did and it started right up, did it a few more times and it started right up. I'll just keep and eye on it, any ideas of what may be on its way out?

Same thing happened to me at the track a few weeks ago, rode to tech. shut it off and it wouldn't restart. It was my fuel pump not kicking it, I had to flip my fuel cut of switch on and off a few times to get it to work, havn't had it happen since.

This may sound like a stupid question, but where is that. I've been looking through the service manual and I'm either stupid or inept, maybe both, but never the less....I still don't know where to look.

No, I've never taken the tank off. Just about all the other plastics but never the tank.

open your gas cap do you hear a pressure release like a slight hisss...?

could be when playing with teh plastics you pinched a ventline... causing a vapor lock ..

check that .. then all the plugs around the mid bike... especially the fuel pump plug make sure when you were doing whatever you were doing that you did not pull on wires and pull a plug

No, I haven't had any plastics off since I put on my frame sliders early this year. And I've never had the tank off or lifted. But it did it again yesterday. I was sitting at a light and my friend that I was riding with hit my kill switch just being a dick, and it wouldn't start. I had to pull over to the side and let it sit a minute and it started right up. I just want to know where to start looking for something wrong.
