Default 07-08 CBR600RR Whats new?

Hey guys sorry for this question but I couldn’t find the answer. I want to buy a 600RR and I was looking at Honda.com when I noticed the $1000 jump from the 07 to the 08. I just want to know what they added or changed for the 08. I know that ABS is available but that’s another $1000 so a 08 ABS is $2000 more than a 07. Also anyone who has experience with 02 600f4i, 1000RR, and the 600RR I would appreciate you comparison thoughts on the 600RR. Thanks.

i couldn't tell you what the reasoning is for the price jump, besides it's just newer, and there were different color schemes, but in comparison, the 2007/2008 600rr is probably one of the most comfortable RR's out there. i have an 03 f4i (same as 02) and i have no problem being just as comfortable on the 2007 600RR as i was on my f4i, and i'm a tall guy.

It's just how business is. The newer models are more expensive due to higher demand, they've got a few extra options/upgrades, and they're this year's model (in other words, they haven't been sitting in the showroom for a year).

that's not true. there are almost no changes. the rake was changed half a degree i think and that about it besides paint. the price jump is due to inflation. stfu chuck

The 08 is basically the exact same as the 07 with new paint schemes. I'd definitely save the $1000 and get an 07 if I were you.

I think they make for worse riders personally. Yea they're nice, but its just sumtin else to break, adds weight n makes riders lazy n less skilled.

True, but I think that's just the way things are moving now. If we don't have to worry about lockups anymore, it allows us to concentrate on other things more like some dumbass stuffing you in the corner or old ladies pulling out of driveways (if you're going that fast on the street). The next big thing will be computerized traction control. BMW is putting it on their new 1000R and all the Jap bikes are gonna be forced to follow suit.
