06 CBR fuel problem

OKay so i have the 2006 cbr 600rr, It has a power commander, jardine exhaust, k&N air filter, air shift kit, geared (dont know specifics), 23k miles, and stretched and lowered slightly.

Problem: The bike gets horrible gas mileage!! I mean 50 miles to a full tank. and then 2.5 gallons to fill back up(or so). It backfires when you bip the throttle and flames can be seen at night(while riding and in gear). It smokes alot under slightly aggresive acceleration. The color is either black or gray. I cant really figure out a good way to tell.

Now the bike runs great. Very fast and powerful. It has a good idle and no real problems. The power commander is set correctly for the exhaust and filter. I even tried the zero map. It didnt change anything really. I changed the oil using Mobile one motorcycle oil(wet clutch) and Honda oil filter. Always premium gas.

Anyone have a clue of what could be the problem here?! I mean the bikes awesome but shouldnt smoke or use that much fuel in my opinion...

Any Ideas yet people? Thanks in advance

How do you know the Power Commander was set correctly? Did you have it dyno tuned and the a/f map corrected? It sounds like the PC is running really rich. This can give your motor major issues. If I was you I would have it either ran on the dyno or pull off the power commander all together if you couldn't have it tuned.

Also saw you said you ran premium on your bike. The 03-06 600RR can run fine on regular. It says so in the manual. Save yourself some money there.

I set the power commander to the all zeros map. That means its as if the power commander isnt there correct?

Yeah, it should set so that the PC doesn't interfere. That's if no one messed with the settings and left it at all zeros.

Here is a video of the smoke and flame. I know free reving isnt the best for it just wanted to give you guys an idea of what it looks like. Looks like fuel to me. Are there seals that could cause this or exhaust leak or what? Thank!

Way too rich. Needs the correct map. Download a few for testing or put it on a dyno to build your own custom map, will be perfect. Just know all A/F mods (except slip ons) need remap.

Yes I know it needs the correct tune but here is my thought on that. The exhaust and k&n air filter allows for better air flow. Therefore the bike should require more fuel. It has a zero base map on it now. That means stock fuel. How is it rich when it should require more fuel than a stock map? If i dyno tune the bike it needs to be leaned out so it is not rich. Than means less fuel than the stock settings and the power commander map would have alot of negatives to lean it out.

All of that just does not make sense to me. I feel like there could be other problems?

What your doing with a zero map is telling the ECU to ignore pc and adjust itself which
is adding lots of fuel.:icon_toast:

So you are saying with the PC set to zeros the ECU will try and correct the air to fuel ration on its own? I downloaded the map from power commmander for my exhaust and intake. By looking at the map it is adding more fuel. With the map for my exhaust from powercommander it uses just as much fuel is not more and backfires and shoots flames still. I also tried the stock cbr map that I downloaded from powercommanders web site and had the same results.
