06 600rr
i'm deciding whether to buy a 06 cbr 600rr
is there a huge difference between the 06 vs the 07?
i'm going to go check out the bike tomorrow but i heard about cbr not being too comfortable for tall riders, any truth to that? i'm 6'1" 34-35 inseem...
what's a good price/point of negotiation? for a stock 06 with 8000 mi?

The diff between the 06 an 07 is like night and day, the bike has been totally redesigned. Hold out and get the 07, trust me you'll wish you did. not that the 06 isnt a good bike, but the 07... wow.... It has a much much lighter feel to it. i'm between the 6' and 6'1" mark myself and its fine.

RE: 06 600rr
to me there is hardly a difference in different brand of bikes in the same CC class. i have found yamahas kinda feel like they have a longer reach, but not enough to matter. i ended up going with an RR just because i thought it worked better all around and i like the aggressive riding style.
btw. you got it easy. i'm 6'6" and need a liter bike just to feel comfortable.

The 07-08 models are about 19-pound lighter from the previous 05-06 models and the engines are smoother with less vibration at all rpm. Lower-end acceleration is also worlds better than on the previous version. As far as comfort, the new CBR's seat has thicker and much more supportive padding and the clip-on bars are positioned 10mm higher for more comfort during long rides.
My previous bike was an 06 600RR and I currently own an 07 600RR. I couldn't believe the difference when I drove my 07 for the first time, it's that big of a difference. If you are able to, I would highly recommend test riding an 07 model before you decide to go off and pick up an 06.

In the end it's entirely up to you and what you can afford. Having owned an 06 and now an 07, I feel it's well worth it to hold out until you can get an 07-08. If you test an 06 and you find that your completely happy with it then go for it. But if not don't just settle for one, you'll regret it not too long after.
