ok so i purchased my first bike couple months ago. now just getting everything together for it and have a question.. there is a black box that connected to the headlight assembly in the wire harnes.. its rounded on one side and flat on the other.. sais UP with an arrow on it with 2 mounting screws.. well the bike has no front cowl yet and everytime that box moves my bike shuts off? and the fuel pump wont kick on? what is this? and where does it mount? i cannot find it for the world of me.. thx in advance.

 

if im not mistaken this is ur tip over sensor box thingy<-technical term :P

 

thats what i thought.. but where does it mount? i cant see anywhere? no mountin tabs on my front cowl? im confused where it goes..

Yes, your talking about the bank angle sensor, or tip over sensor. It's a safety feature so if the bike goes over it automatically turns off.

Check the online fiche for parts or where/how it goes together, that's what I do.

its mounted on the upper fairing behind the headlight if your riding around with out the head like i did a few times just zip tie it upside right on the front of the bike
