Could it be the brushes on the starter motor not connecting? It's a 2 minute job to check and cheap and easy to repair. I've had that problem before but to be honest i wouldnt have thought that would be the problem if its only an 05 model. I guess there's no harm in checking. Apart from that there is nothing else i can think ofthe problembeing sorry[&:]

I agree, check to see if it has spark. Also try clear flood mode by giving it full throttle while you are cranking it over.

well i tried the full throttle and nothin. i get a lil popping sometimes. what is the best way to check the spark plugs?? i was looking but it looks like its a really tight fit. and where is the starter to check the brushes??? any other idea.... this is the first problem i have had sence i owned the bike but thank god is winter right now.

and it didnt come with a tool kit, so i dont have that special tool for the spark plugs. anyone live close to madison, wi that would let me use there?? or ill have to go buy one

Ok I have a question do you hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key on? If not try checking your Fuel Cut Off Relay. It is located under the left hand side Mid Faring. if it is not that take a wild guess at what it is..........
