I've never worked on a '04 but I have an 03 RR...they should be the same. You should be able to see the drain plug if you get on ur belly. It should be in the open space where the two lower fairings come together. You'll need to take off both lower fairings and the right side mid fairing. You'll also have to unbolt the coolant reserve tank, which is behind the right side mid fairing,in order to get to the oil filter. Take some aluminum foil, form a channel with it and put it on the header pipes...that way when you take the oil filter off, you won't leak oil all over your pipes...hope this helps

dude no offense but you obviously need to check out the owners manual.....not to mention the drain plug on almost any vehicle is located on the oil pan which would be directly under the engine. If you do not already know this maybe you should have someone change it for you as not to screw anything up....just my 2 cents i dont know you personally but you dont sound experianced (at all)

Lets not be so hard on Wildcat. Thats what this forum is for all of us to joke around & most of all learn a thing or two... The only stupid question is one not asked... I do agree reading up is a good thing, but still asking isn't a bad thing.

I have a Brand new Owner's Manual if you want...
they're for 06 model but pretty similar...
you just pay for shipping and you can have 'em...
as far as changing oil...
pretty simple...
try using search option first...if no luck...i'll try to help...

filter is located behind headers. plug is located under neath the engine ( on the oil pan where everyother drain plug made is located [sm=smiley24.gif]) you do not have to remove the fairings to change the oil. i would suggest getting a oil filter wrench with a adjustable rubber band thingie to get it of, its the best kinda i have used on a bike.
