04 track to street fighter conversion
Hey all. Hope everyone's ready for the season.
I bought an 04 slavaged title bike for track use only. Now I'm looking to see what would be involved in making this street legal so I can sell my F4i.
I got a bunch of free stuff off craigs list. So I already have the left bar control switch, the rear cowl thing that has the tail light, blinkers, and license plate bracket. And I've got a mirror and blinker for the front.
What's cool is the rear cowl thing fits over the exhause and just under my race body work so I wouldn't need to take that off. And I'm thinking of maybe doing mirrors with integrated blinkers so I can just put them on in a few minutes.
The only thing I can think of that I'm missing is the headlight. Any ideas on what types of lights I can mount up front and take off real quickly? They can even be round. I don't really care.
Has anyone done this before or am I just asking for trouble? I'm a little concerned about figuring out the wiring, but I do have the 4 inch thick service manual.
Thanks for any ideas. All thoughts welcome.
