Default 03 Turn signals dont blink

So I got these flush mount turn signals and I was reading other threads about the correct way to install them and i ended up doing it this way...https://cbrforum.com/forum/how-mechanical-40/convert-2-wire-signals-3-wire-inputs-84998/ After i did all of this splicing and soldering the runnings lights work but when i go to switch to the turn signals they just blink at a very high rate of speed, hardly even noticeable. The diodes are facing the right way and i did everything else correct.

I tried just hooking up the turn signal to the corresponding turn signal wire on the bike and also just connecting the ground to see if i even got any blinking that way, and of course that didnt work either.I checked the turn signal fuse and it seems to be in tact.Could it be a turn signal relay?Idk... Im stumped and need some help please.Thanks.

IIRC, the diodes are only there to make the 2 wire lights function as 3 wires.... so if they light up when the ignition is on (or the bike is running), and if they flash when the directionals are on, then the diodes are working correctly.. to slow the flash rate, you either need resistors or you can replace the flasher with one made for LEDs..

If I am incorrect, someone please correct me!

ok.somebody else told me to use a variable load flasher relay...Do i use that or resistors? Which is easier?

plugging in a new flasher is helluva lot easier than cutting and soldering in diodes....
It will be as difficult as getting to your flasher..
Here are some videos of the install on a few RRs..

I have an F4.. so I am no expert on your bike.. see if one of those setups matches yours..

So i cant skip the diodes and just plug in turn signal wire and ground to LED and throw in a relay and it should work? no running lights then which i dont want anyways...
