I have around 6k to spend on a bike, and have a few questions on these two years so without further notice here they are.

1) Is their any changes between the 03-04?

2) was 04 the year it lost around 25 pounds?

And information would be greatly appreciated.

 

'03-'04 was the first generation, same bike. '05-'06 are the newer, lighter models.

 

Color is the only difference for the '03 - '04

 

How significant is the weight difference? Especially in terms of a new rider noticing and handling the extra weight...
