Honda says they have diferent part numbers and the newer ones retail $100 bucks more but they are compatibles? i have a 2005 600RR but can i use the 03-04 cluster in my bike?

Does any body did or tryed this before? or the 05-05 cluster on the 03-04 bike?

The clusters look the same but the part # is diferent and so the price from a brand new one, the thing is i can buy one really cheap but wanna make sure before buy it or plug it and burn something.

Not sure about the 600rr's but on the 1krr the 04-05 and the 06-07 clusters have a different red line, otherwise they are interchagable.
