Default Where do i find what size my chain is and sprockets

Hi everybody

iam just about to change my sprockets on my cbr front and rear am going to drop the front one to 15 teeth and up the rear to 47 after asking about this a while back am interested in just swapping the sprockets as the chain looks in good condition i know people will say you need to swap the all together the sprocket and chain but i just want to see what the difference is with changing the size of the sprockets .

at the moment it looks like there is just the slandered size on there which am only guessing really as am not sure what they are does anybody know???
Also if i was going to buy the sprockets would i get the 525 or the 530 as am going to try it on the chain that i have on it i want to keep it the same size where would you find what size it is?????
#

I will be doing a complete chain and sprocket swap together soon but all i want to do is try with the different sizes fits before i fully commit.

Also before i go if the chain is say a 525 and you just wanted to change the sprocket would i have to completely remove the chain or can you just loosen it up if you have to remove it can you just get a new mater link for it to refit

/Thank you

does the chain have any markings or numbers on it? if it's stock (chain or sprockets), the manual will tell you.

you shouldn't need to disassemble the chain to swap sprockets.

Oem sprockets = 16/45 steel sprockets (sizes usually stamped on sprocket).
Oem chain = RK or D.I.D 525 chain. 108 links. (if you're not sure of the length, count links)

Be sure to match size for size, i.e. 525 sprockets for 525 chain.
