What have you done to your F4 today!
I find it strange that we don't have a thread like this. Especially when we had so many people working on their bikes last winter!?
Post up what you have done with your bike today! This includes General Maintenance, washing it, modding it, if your bike gets featured in the Ride of the Month poll and riding it; especially riding it! An included photo is desired but not required lets just breath some life back into the F4 section!!
Well I guess its better late then never so I'll get this started before the rainy season starts!!! I have a backlog of two days but here is what I have done.
Installed a new clutch, finally put an ignition advancer and the shift star from factory pro in, swapped my rear tire over to the 600rr rim and slapped on an ebc contour rotor and afam 45 tooth sprocket; lasty I started to mount up the 06 600rr swingarm but ran into a bind so I went to bed. What did you do!

Well I got back from a 12 day ride with three friends in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Italy... to say some of the Alps are incredible is an understatement. Will post some pictures later tonight...
However, washed bike down as it was a disgrace after nearly two weeks and 4,000 miles completed... so Eric got some TLC. Noticed that the front bearings may need replacing so, task for this week/weekend.

Wow can't wait for those pics! I love Switzerland and Germany, I have family there so I try to visit for the holidays but can never get enough.
Finally figured out the 600rr suspension, installed a magnetic drain bolt, Rerouted my brake lines and put fresh fluid in them, and installed a quick disconnect in my fuel line. Will take pics in the morning.

We have one in the Hurricane section with a sticky. I look at it all the time. As a matter of fact I just posted there. Each section should have this thread I think.
Its kind of a no-problem thread where as problems are discussed in the main bodies of the sections. And great ideas do pop up.

I just bought my bike a month ago and have been doing mostly regular maintenance, oil+filter change, swapped the chain/sprockets, took off the fairings and front fender, they were really broken from when the original owner dropped the bike years ago. Replaced the clutch and front brake handles, the old clutch lever was pretty scratched and bent up. Just cleaning things up.
After working on it, I don't think it's previous owner took care of it very well. I'm having fun though. Kind of a fix up project, and a good first bike
I bent my first master link when replacing the chain (it looks like that something that everyone does their first time), so I had to order a replacement. It was in my friends garage for way too long.
She's running smooth now though. Took a trip to Philly last weekend and another ride to NJ this week.
There were some bolts missing from the front fender, so it pressed against the wheel and melted... Had to take it off as well. Looking for replacements.
New DID chain looks sooo much better.
Here was the old one I bought the bike with.
Finally I noticed I may have a gasket to replace. Probably blew when it was dropped. Just a drop or two leaking every now and then, but needs to be done soon.
As she sits now. I kinda like the look without fairings, but I'll get something back on there at some point.

Just got done putting new Competition Werkes pegs on and a rearset riser plate (one in up and back). I'm just trying to make it better suited for track riding because the last owner was more for looks than function.
Here's a few pics from the track
Working on that body position. You can see in the first pic its all scraped up on the right side. Mostly from the original owner, but my first track day I scraped my pegs and low sided. Working on painting some aftermarket fairings I got and keeping the old ones for the track. And getting a new exhaust... And installing frame sliders

Got my F4 about 3 weeks ago. Chain was too stretched out and needed replacing. Got that changed out with an RK chain/sprocket kit. Front tire was bald and got a new tire put in. Previous owner installed some aftermarket mirrors with a plastic base on that caused the mirrors to shake at anything more than idle. Replaced them with carbon fiber look mirrors. She was missing one bar end, ended up replacing it with a set with a carbon fiber look. The rear fender was cut but was looking rough, I ended up doing the DIY fender eliminator with the help of CBRforum. Windshield was missing 4 of the 6 nuts and rubber pieces, replaced it with a new set.
This is how she looked when I first got her
DIY fender eliminator (still needs to be painted)
How she looks now (started taking off some of the stickers too)
