Ive had to replace my upper cowl and I cant figure out where these little air inlets attach. Help!

 

In the second picture, between the upper part of the intake and the other metal clip there should be a mounting hole. It looks like it was once there, but it's hard to tell by the picture. Basically it should mount near that upper, pointy, corner gap next to the intake.
