Default Turn Signal Delay

Hey everyone, looking for some help! I installed flush mount LED turn signals, as well as an integrated tail light on my 2000 Cbr600 F4. A fuse blew during the installation, and was replaced. The issue is, there is now a 2-3 second delay before any of the turn signals activate once pressed. I installed a new relay switch, and the issue remains. Even with the old relay, the issue is the same, followed by fast blinking. Any suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks in advance

Did you replace the flasher relay with one meant for use with LED lights?

Don't need to replace the relay, just install a load resister to the line. The relays are designed to work with the resistance put out by incandescent bulbs, LEDs have less resistance so the relay acts as if there is no bulb and then "hyper flashes"

I believe the relay is for LED, ordered it online. Even when i plug the OEM relay back in, theres still a delay.

I only get the "hyper flashes" with the OEM relay installed, but there is still a delay with the lights coming on. Will the load resister correct the delay?

The load resister won't do anything for the delay. With what you describe it doesn't sound like a relay issue, more like a switch issue. You didn't say which fuse blew, where was it in relation to the whole turn signal system? You could also be dealing with an issue with the integrated taillight as that is an item that is new to the system.

Here's what I would do, as a process of elimination. Put everything back to stock (if you still have the old parts) and see if the delay disappears. Then, while using the original relay, install the integrated light, and see what happens. If you get the delay, then you know it's the new taillight. If no delay, add the LED front signals and see. This will help you eliminate each different item.

If putting it all back to stock doesn't eliminate the delay, then you might need to look at the switch.
