Default Time to winterize

This is my first winter with my 2000 F4 and I'm not sure what to do to winterize it. I've read so many different things about what to do, none of which specific to F4's. Can anyone on here tell me what I should do? Thanks.

Personally, I would put stable in a full tank, take if for a ride to get the stable through the carbs. Then I would hook the battery tender up, plug it in and its ready for winter. Some may go through an entire cleaning routine, but its a preference. I keep my bikes clean all year..

I'm just going to keep my running every week and keep fresh fuel in it. I'm not a huge fan of fuel additives, but alot of people are.

+1. Add Stabil, pull the batter out and charge it in the house (only because I have two bikes/batteries and one tender) overnight every other week. Cover it and wait....................and wait.............................................a nd wait some more.

I'm with this guy. I plan to ride some all winter even if it's just around town for a few.

yea that sounds good, but when its -5 just walking outside to start it up sucks.....

I put stabil in my tank, usually start it up every week and let it run for about 15 mins

Does the stabil make the bike run funny? That's my fear. I always parked my Stangs when i had them for the winter in my non-heated garage and never used stabil and they were fine with a once a week start up and run-the same goes for my Dakota thatI put away for winter. I just don't want the bike to run funny since it runs so good right now.
