Default Streetfighter Track Bike

I picked up a '00 F4 as a track bike and I'm having a blast with it.

Now I've happened to crash it twice and after the first crash I was able to zip tie the fairing together and still have her look pretty.

This last crash was a bit more sereve and I ended up bending up the birdcage pretty good. The plastics are in pieces and it'll take way too much work to fix them up just so they stay on the bike.

Therefore I'm going to go streetfigher. I've pulled the instrument cluster off but since the birdcage is screwed, the intake snorkels have nothing to attach to.

You think I could chop the snorkels down about 1/2 way and zip tie them to the black plastic pieces that are bolted to the front of the tank? Will this give the bike sufficient air to still run well at high speed?

Why would you want to run a "naked" track bike?

The wind resistance is gonna kill ya. I can't imagine going 150+ down the straight away without a wind screen.

Just buy a replacement fairing stay off ebay and call it goo.

To strictly ans your question, I don't see why not. I've seen a lot worse.

Ok thanks.

As for running with no fairings, the tracks I usually run on don't have long straights so you don't get up really high speeds. If I were to run at Mosport then I'd certainly want a fairing on the bike again.
