Still Having Problems with My Bike
I own a 99 CBR 600 F4. I have been having this problem where the bike dies on me suddenly. It only dies at higher speeds, over 40 mph. It only seems to do it after I coast from a higher speed to a lower speed, like 60 mph down to 30 mph, then get back into the throttle. It will stall out completely. The only way I get it started again is by choking in it full. I have cleaned the carbs and sync'ed them. The bikes performance improved greatly, though it still dies. I need help with this bad. It is driving me crazy. Im the third owner of this bike that hasn't figured it out yet. The previous owners said they replaced the fuel pump, relay, and fuel filter. The first owner took a ohmmeter to the bike and thinks it is the cdi box. Does that sound possible to you? The last owner bought one before he sold it to me, but didn't sell it with the bike. I dont wanna spend a couple hundred dollars on a part that wont solve the problem. Another possibility was the D.A.I solenoid. I haven't had a chance to test that yet, but does that sound like a possible cause? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't wanna have to sell bike.
