Default The start of a slow build up

First off , About 3 weeks ago i was looking around for a good used bike didn't care what kind as long as it ran good I seen a few one was a yzf 600 took it 4 a ride wouldn't go into 2nd a few time . a 636 kaw didn't feel right to me so seen on C.L. a 99 cbr f4 11000 for 2800 pics looked good the guy lived 2 hrs away so i talked to him a few time and got him down to 2300. He had it 3 or 4 years sat in a shed 4 2 or 3 years and rod it 3 times this past summer, so it needed some TLC..

Ok first off the back brake was almost dead (pads) there were no turn sing.. on the front at all the grips were shot and some nuts and bolts were mia ,the seat was dry rotted and bot foot shifter the tips are bent in a tiny tiny bit- the tires were mint he had a k&n air filter new in a box for it so here is the pick of the bike

b, you're doing a good job w/ rehabbing your bike. Its lookin' good. I'll bet that motogp exhaust is loud. ;-)

When you get ready to do the split-seat conversion, check out my tutorial. If you need any help, just let me know.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I hope it helps others wanting to do the same. For now, the bike is still sunrise-yellow w/ the silver tail. Although, I very quickly installed a CompetitionWerkes fender eliminator & led signals.

Back when I did the conversion, I was going to paint the tail either the same sunrise-yellow (factory paint from Colorite) or black. The tail cowl was in such pristine condition though, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Then, I got a complement about my bike at a gas station from a lady in an early yellow & silver Hummer...saying 'they looked like they belonged together'. I have to admit, in the late afternoon sunlight, they did appear to match. So, its still the same in the tutorial pics except for now having the fender eliminator.

I have an extra tail cowl that I've been meaning to sand down & paint. Maybe one of these days, I'll actually get around to doing that.
