When I start up bike it runs great. Idles great. Then neutral light in dash will flicker. Eventually going out even with it still in neutral. When it goes out so does motor. Is there something to do with a sensor or the ignition or Wut!!?? Some please help me out. I've been stranded too many times

 

It is a 1999 Honda McBride 600 f4 by the way. Lol!

 

replace the neutral switch.
this indicates when you are in neutral (daahhh), and commands the light, as well as the ignition...
when the side stand is down (another switch), it won't let you shift into gear and ride away. once you shift into gear ,or it thinks you did becuase the switch is dead, it will kill the ignition.

the neutral switch is just infront of the forward sprocket. easiest to recognize by the electrical 2 wires harness going into the engine there.it's a 12 or 14 mm hex head, just pull off the plug first. some WD40 will help if it's stuck.
also it's a little more comfortable if you take the sprocket cover off.
