Exclamation Signal Lights Not Working

I have a 00 F4 & my signals aren't working. I just bought it a week ago & they aren't working. The guy I bought it from put some flush mounts on & there are no signals in the back. I checked the wiring like everyone said in other posts; and everything looks fine. I can't figure out why they aren't working. If I try to turn them on the light on the gauge cluster doesn't even turn on. Everything else works great. Any ideas or did I overlook a post? I can't find anything else. Thanks for your help!

Check the switch. At work so I can't go by my f3s manual. But no light on the dash sounds suspiciously like the switch itself may have issues if everything is connected right.

The manual will tell you how to troubleshoot the switch & circuit with a multimeter. Where in s jersey?

D.R.: Yea I checked the fuses all were good.

Kuroshio: I hope it's something simple. I'm in Vineland.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

At home so I can look through my manual. I suggest you download yours (find any post from CBRClassic in the new riders section for a manual download site).

Checking the switch itself just means checking for continuity on the switch harness in different positions. If it fails continuity checks, the switch or the connections (corrosion) are the cause.

On the F3s there's a turn signal relay mounted on the fairing stay. If the switch passes continuity checks, you need to check the relay. If it doesn't have power with the ignition on, there's an open between it and power. If it does, then check the wires from the switch to the relay. If that checks good, then the relay itself is prolly out

Ok; well I'm trying to download the manual now but I can't find one for the F4. Just the F2,3 & F4i. I'm just downloading the F4i manual; should that work for me or is the setup/wiring different? I just really care about the wiring for the signal switch.

Dunno, you'd have to ask an F4 owner that one. I know there's 1 big difference between the F4 vs F4i: digital cluster. How that affects the wire harness I can't say.

Thanks; but I wasn't really asking you directly. I figured that since I posted it in the F4 forum somebody with an F4 would respond.
