Default Should I buy this CBR 600F4?

Hi guys! New here. I have an opportunity to purchase a 2000 CBR600F4 with 40000 miles on it for $2800. I've haven't ridden a CBR in a while and was looking to go back to sport bikes. Is it true they are almost bullet proof? This bike looks pristine and sounds amazing. Thanks!

You should ask this question in the F4 Forum. I think that’s about top dollar for a bike with 40k on it. If it’s all original maybe but condition may be because it has aftermarket fairings.

40k is nothing if it's been taken care of. $2800 is not bad if they are oem fairings and it's in good shape.

I would buy it. See, people will tell you things like "they only made these 2 years" get a f4i. The thing is, with an owners manual and proper tools, your bike shouldn't even have to go for tires. Electrical issues are easy to find, and I'll put it this way. Instead of spending $3000 on an rr, I spent $3400 to rebuild my f4. Honda had these bikes well dialed In for carbed bikes. A 2001f4i is last year for fuel injection.
btw: this looks to be the best 2000 bike you'll find. Just dont buy a 2800 bike if all you have is that.

Last advice you have 6 more years of f4is for parts. I hope your not starting on this. Also if the engine has never been rebuilt, they wont be greasy or oily. Your looking for bottom end. Once the cases are cracked on any of em, for rebuilds,
