well just as the title says, my F4 is missing and hasn't been seen since 6/12/19. My son took it out joyriding (without my permission) and crashed it somewhere. why "somewhere" is because where he says he crashed, its no longer there. the police don't have a clue because there's no accident report and no tow company has come forward to state if they have it in their possession. so as of tomorrow its going to be a full 7 days since the incident.
in case its not adding up here are the details, he took the bike out while i wasn't home, he has no experience that i know of, on riding a bike. he crashed and is recovering from major road rash. he didn't report the accident and left the bike laying on the street, because he was scared and feared his wrist was broken. the bike was too heavy for him to pick up so as far as i know it was left laying on its side.
so unfortunately for me my riding for this season is over, ill be back next season with a Fireblade 954rr or a SP-2 RC51, i already wrote this bike off in my mind, I'm not going to kill my kid over a bike, but he owes me for this bike. I'm however glad that he didn't hurt anyone, or killed himself. just sharing this with you guys

Rough. Hopefully he remembers how much road rash hurts before making another bad decision involving a motorcycle
Is he old enough to work? If my son did that he'd be out mowing lawns every saturday for a whole summer
Glad he's okay though. We've all got that one buddy who hopped on a bike at 16 and didn't get a second chance...

Yeah I dunno. I definitely recall swiping the keys to my dad's sport car a few times. Got good at setting the seat and mirrors back to he wouldn't notice when he went to work the next day. Personally when mine are older I'll be keeping the bike keys on the nightstand or under my pillow
Kids love speed, but they're also terrible drivers/riders. Just gotta keep em alive until they learn how to do it without being a hazard to themselves and others. Rash like that, I'm betting he'll think twice next time

same exact movie i was thinking of, he didn't know how to ride as for as i know of but hes a fast learner. i guess he figures that he graduated from the 600cc class, and went on to wheelie class. i learned from a family member, he posted his crime on instagram attempting to pull off wheelies. mind you all this in a 2 hour time frame. well he knows what road rash feels like in the worst way possible
