Default I need help

So I have a 2000 600f4. It has a short exhaust and I just put a k&n air filter on it. I'm told I have to rejet the bike now. Cause of the weather here in Jersey I haven't been able to ride to see if it is performing any better or worse. I bought the bike used and don't know if the previous owner jetted the bike already. So for sake of arguemea, what am I gonna have to do. Please PM me .Thanks

Depending on the exhaust you may or may not notice a need for rejetting. I have a '99 that has a Delkevic exhaust and a K&N air filter. My son-in-law (who had the bike before me) added the air filter and I know he never rejetted the bike. The only thing I've noticed is a slight hesitation at very low RPM and the usual "popping" on deceleration. Other than that the bike runs fantastic.

So, before diving into a rejetting project ride it and see how it runs.
