Default RPM

Just wondering what the general consensus is regarding rpm at idle and shifting. Preferably at what rpm does your bike idle, and what rpm do shift at. Thanks.

I am a newer rider, but idle is at 1200 like jerril confirmed, and shifting is at acomfortable 5-7k, unless your trying to launch then redline it.......

idle like others said, somewhere around 1200 +/- 100is fine, and shift point is pretty much up to you and how you want to ride. Usually if im just cruising down the road, probably around 5k, If i want to take off a little faster or am pulling out into traffic around 7k. And if im really hitting the twisties hard anywhere from 8-11k, i try not to redline it (i feel bad for her []lol)
