Rim Tape
Does anyone have a pic of there bike with rim tape? Also where did you get it from and how hard was it to do? Do you have to remove the front / rear rims to put the tape on? I have black rims on a yellow 2000 CBR 600 F4 and I think that yellow rim tape would help set off the rims.

RE: Rim Tape
Have the same bike except in red and my rim tapes realy look good. The tape is one thing that both rider and nonriders notice first. I will try to get a pic on here soon.
the tape is easy to put on and there is no need to take off the wheels. The tape comes in a strip about 20" long. All you have to do is clean your wheels good to make sure there is no dirt on the rim that the tape will stick to then inch by inch peel the back paper off the tape and apply it to the rim. If you have a set of stands it will make the process alot easier, but I have put tape on with or without the stands. Either way you do it just remember to take it slow and in very short sections. This way you will get a nice smoth line.
Got mine off of ebay for less than 10 dollars a year ago. They have not faded or peeled off after many miles and washes.

Cool, cool. Just one question, what size of tape did you use. I have noticed on a couple of web sites that sell rim tape that they offer different sizes. Should I go with the yellow that matches the bike or the metalic yellow. I think the yellow that matches the bike. The metalic is to bling for me.

RE: Rim Tape
match your bike's color. As for the size my tape came in a 21" strip and is about 3/8" wide. When I ordered the tape I did not have a choice on how wide I wanted the tape. The 3/8" wide tape cover almost the entire area on the rims edge so it looks good. If you want a pic give me your e-mail and I will send them out. I cannot post them here my file is to large.

I just found what seems to be a pretty cool site. They have a lot of stuff, reflective, decals, they have a chart to match your exact color. I think i'm going to get mine from there.http://www.tapeworks.com/ Cost is $22.95 but I don't know how much shipping is. They're in NC.
