Default Removing ignition switch

Hi guys,

I have bought a blank key to have another copy.

Also, my steering lock - sorry about my english- was not working properly, was kind of hard, so I`ve talked with a blacksmith and he told me to pull out the ignition switch to solve both issues.

After disassembling all the front part of the bike, I have found that the bolts holding the ignition switch were "weird". I have tried with a torx t40 but didn't work.

Don`t you know if those bolts before were torx t40 and somebody tried to unscrew them with other tool and broke them, or it`s necessary a special Honda tool to pull them out??

Thank you in advance!
Your south american friend

They are security bolts. The heads are designed to break off on installation.

To get them out, you need to use a punch and a hammer to knock them loose. Once the start to turn, they will back out easily.

A correct allen bolt will work, but will not be as "anti-theft" as the original bolts. The security bolts are preferred, but its up to you.
