There is a hook in the front that slides under a "latch" that is attached to where the gas tank bolts down. Then there are two "hooks" in the rear that attach to places on the frame about 2/3rds of the way back on the underside of the seat.

You essentially just slide the seat in - I normally come in at an angle and look under it to make sure the two hooks in the back are aligned properly, then push it all the way down and in and bank it with my hand in the back over the clasp. They are a little poorly designed in my opinion but you will get it....

I had to bend the black plastic hook that is on the bottom of the seat, towards the gas tank. It had to be bent away from the seat, sometimes I still have trouble if I dont have my gloves in the seat flat enough, The seat wont latch.

Buy a Corbin seat. Problem solved =) They go on easier than any stock seat would period. As a matter of fact there is no effort you have to put into it at all. All you do is simply let the seat fall and it latches on with ease. I have a Corbin and threw my stock seat away since it was uncomfortable and hard as hell to get on compared to my Corbin seat. Plus it looks better. Its the next best thing to the split upper raised rear seat rear end on the F4-I as far as looks go. I will send some pics for ya so you can get an idea.

Here ya go. There is a saddle bag on the back. I keep it on because it is a pain to put on. But you should get an idea.

Thanks for all the replies. I had to wedge a screw driver to get that front hook under the latch. I love the corbin seat, just not the price.

Yeah its pricey. But its well worth every penny. If I still own this bike when the seat gets really worn down I would re-buy the same seat. Stock is a no go I will never settle for stock again. And when I do get a new bike I'm getting Corbin for that too.

Glad to hear you figured out your problem! Take it easy.
