Default Picked up my first CBR...

I've been in the market for an F4 for a month or two now and finally found one on Craigslist near Knoxville, TN (I'm in Louisville, KY) that was in my price range and wasn't destroyed. On the contrary, this thing is immaculate. Drove down and picked her up last night and I'm really stoked on it so I thought I'd share. Took it for a (n illegal) ride when I got it home and its amazing. So smooth and so quick. Check it and let me know what ya think.

Details:
2000 F4 Yellow/Black 20k miles
BRAND NEW Pilot Powers (less than 100 miles on them)
520 conversion (haven't looked up what that means yet... if someone wants to tell me. haha)
New chain and sprocket
Yoshi RS-3 Carbon Fiber Exhaust
Flush Mount Signals
Fender eliminator kit
Undertail kit
Runs perfect, never been down
Came with two leather jackets and two helmets (I think they are some cheapo brand though... eXl???)
The helmets are too small for me I think, but I already have one anyway.

I tried about a million times to get the big pictures to show up on this page, but can't figure it out. Sorry for the links.

I just bought one almost exactly in the same conditions this weekend too. Same color combo also. Feels good doesn't it! 520 conversion is the chain.

Congrats on the new bike! It took me about three months to find one that hadn't been down and was in my price range here in TN.... I actually test drove two that claimed to be perfect -- but both had bent forks! Take it easy on those new tires for a while -- I just installed a new Pilot Power 2 CT on the front... even not broken in, it's 100x more sticky than my old Dunlop.

Welcome to the site and congrats on finding a excellent F4.
Just one question...
How much more did he want for the mirrors?

haha excellent and observant question.

i asked the same thing after seeing pictures and noticing they weren't on it but before i drove down to pick it up.

he said mirrors aren't required in Tennessee, so he didn't have them on. he said he'd rather look over his shoulder than have them on the bike.

they were included with the bike. he got them out of his garage when i got there though and one of them was broken from where he said one of his friends threw a box on it while cleaning the garage out. i guess a new mirror is like 20 bucks on ebay or something. i'm looking into whether or not mirrors are required in kentucky. even if they aren't though, after riding the bike for just a bit with a friend following me in his truck at night, i'd like to have them anyway.

thanks guys.

congrats on the bike. I have the same exact one and love it. I'm riding Dunlop Qualifier tires though, so keep us updated on how yours work out for ya. and definitely get the mirrors. It's better to ride safe and have those two extra viewpoints especially when you're first starting out. I put on some carbon fiber mirrors and they look great.

^ i agree. i have been riding it all day without mirrors and i'm definitely not a fan.

i'm not new to motorcycles though. i've had an 97 yamaha for 2 years now.

i have to say... I LOVE MY CBR.

so smooth, so fast, so pretty.

i now understand what all the craze is about with Hondas.
