passenger peg removal
#3
I just cut them, and smoothed it out a little bit on the grinding wheel, but I was in the middle of cleaning the house, and doing some other projects, so I didn't have the time to get the one side down exactly how I wanted it, I bought a exhaust can that was sold for a r6 and it has the racing hanger that replaces the right side peg, Its not going to be perfect without modifying it, they are bent at the top to screw in straight up. My plan is to do the same to the right side as I did to the left, straighten the r6 hanger so that it does not angle at the top, drill a hole so that it is not obstructing the fairing bolt, and Ta Daaaaa...... Hopefully it is that easy, I am hoping that it will be shorter, I plan on trying to angle the pipe like so this -----> \ but not quite so steep. My plan is to use my pipe bender to angle it up, hopefully without creasing the pipe, basically I want to bring the end of the pipe up to the tail section. I got a used aftermarket mid pipe from ebay, not sure what brand.... but my plan is to chop the stock can off of the stock mid pipe, and do a test bend..... will post pics as always!!

i got a nice pipe bender, not a electrical kind, more for bending tubing for roll cages and such, as long as it does not crease it will be a simple bend, but i have never bent exhaust tubing, and it could crease, if it does, i could always leave the stock position which is not horrible, but i kinda want to do something so our bikes dont look like a pair of black twinkies
