Overheating when idling
Guys,
Noticed this for a while. Temp gauge goes just over half way when idling in traffic after a 30min plus ride. Is this normal or a sign of a bad thermostat sensor? Bike seems to be getting a bit rougher also, oil and coolant was changed at mot in March. I'm thinking a full service might be needed, expensive though. 35k on clock.

Sounds perfectly normal to me. That spot is where the thermostat opens and starts to circulate the coolant through the system. Can you hear the fan starting? The roughness might just be power drain to the fan from the battery, it tends to do that if your battery isn`t brand spanking new. If it doesn`t go all the way to the red, which is when you`ll start to notice radiant heat rising from the motor anyway, I`d reckon you`r all good to go.
