Default New to the fourm, new bike pics!!

Hello everybody, my name is cody i live in lincoln nebraska. Yesterday i purchased my first street bike. I have been riding bikes since like 15 years old. It is a 1999 f4. It has 10,235 miles and i got it for $2350. The only problem that it has is the previous owner laid it down so it needs a new mirror and on the tail there is a decent scratch mark, but i already have the f4i cluster, and tail swap in mind soon. Let me kno what u guys think.

looks good.. i traded two ar-15s for my 2002 f4i only problem with mine was bad plugs and bad gas in it from it sitting all winter. You got a pretty good find though. For some reason most street bikes have been laid over -.- lol o well though.. Unless you buy new of course.

Wow... IMO you stole that bike.. it looks pretty good other than the scratch.. all stock except for the windscreen?

I like the F4i cluster as well, but I don't want to mess with the mileage (but the digital speedo is so nice!)

Welcome!

Adam

You made a good deal. Sure, its got some battle-scars but you'll most likely be adding a few of your own. ;-) I almost bought the red when I got my F4 but ended up w/ Sunrise Yellow.

I did the split-seat conversion on my F4. When you get to that, feel free to ask me for help, if you need it. I've got a tutorial of sorts in my photo gallery on the process. There's pics w/ descriptions.

Welcome aboard.

Congrats on the new bike purchase! Its a nice lookin' bike you got at a good price. There's tons of info on the split seat conversion and gauges you'll be fine.

Thanks guys!!

Everything is stock on the bike except for the widescreen. I am planning on getting the two brothers full exhaust for it also.

How long do you think that it would take me to do the guage and seat swap?

Also when i do the guage swap do i need to buy new forks?

Nice bike. I was gonna do the F4i conversion but I decided to improve the way the F4 looks as an F4. The F4i conversion does look awesome. But it reminds of those Impala/caprices and the Marauder/ Crown Vic. But go for it. Its sure does look waaaaaay better !!

I did the split-seat conversion over a weekend. Basically did the teardown & install on Sat, & finishing touches on Sun. It was very straight forward.

No, you don't need new forks.
