New forks, need help!

So i recently was given the opportunity to swap out some bent forks on a cbr600 f4. Im just trying to figure out what will hook up without too much work? Ive heard a cbr1000rr forks are essentially the same as f4i fork, whereas 600rr are a little shorter. Im just trying to find something thatll hookup with minimal effort or extra parts so all i have to do is put em on and drive. Anyone out there that can help out?

No, CBR1000rr forks are NOT essentially the same as F4i forks. The simplest, easiest, cheapest, straight forwardest, with minimalest effortest and not to much workest and no extra partest is to use F4 forks. I assume F4i forks are the same, I dont know. The minute you try to use fork from a different model, you need the whole front end of said model forks, triple clamps, wheel, axle, brake rotors and calipers, handle bars etc etc.

Yea hate to break it to you but theres gonna be something involved with this process. Just get your fork tubes fixed. Like 150 bucks for the stanchion The stanchion can possibly be un bent or you can buy new ones. Or buy used ones on ebay but they are not cheap. The cheapest way for me back when I got my F4i was to just buy new stanchions. Rebuild the fork internals with new and you will be set for many miles. There is a site that cross references bikes forks but all of that as Frank said is going to involve many different parts and the headache that sourcing those brings.

Thanks i appreciate the help. Just trying to figure out all my options cause honestly those f4 parts are pretty dificult to come by compared to the ither two. Again its not my bike so im just the "mechanic" in this case are. Forks cant be unbent in this case too so were stuck with getting a new set, which is why im even asking about other bike asdemblies. Anyways, thanks again. Im sure ill be returning for some more info before this is done
