Need some help with this one
I have a 2000 cbr600f4 I just got it’s been sitting for a while I rode it a few days in a row then when I went to start it the other day the fuel pump didn’t prime so I got a new fuel pump and installed it and tried it and it’s still not trying to prime does anyone know what that means? Thanks in advance
Fuel pump not priming sounds like one of the interlocks is not clearingwhich could be the side stand switch, the neutral switch the clutch switch, the run switch or any of the wiring on those circuits (or, ultimately, the ecu).
Do you have a multimeter and are you familiar with using one?

Safety interlocs only disable sparks. Such as putting kickstand down while engine is running.
Fuel-pump priming is function of ignition-diode, BAS, kill-switch and/or fuel-pump relay. So let’s do some measuring to find the exact problem first, otherwise you’re gonna be shot-gunning HUGE pile of brand-new perfectly-working parts to replace perfectly-working parts on bike and nothing changes….
1. Using alligator jumper wires, apply voltage and ground directly to plug on old pump, does it run?
2. Using alligator jumper wires, apply voltage and ground directly to plug on new pump, does it run?
3. Measure voltage/ground at fuel-pump connector on harness. Key ON/kill=RUN, volts = ??
