Ive been thinking about painting mine too.....not sure what colors / graphics, im in the same boat. I have thought about a black with a matte clearcoat......gives the illusion of flat black and still relatively easy to keep clean. Of course anything black needs to be washed all the time, such is the nature of the beast. If you ride you clean....no way around it.

I'm leaving mine Sunrise yellow and black. I love the looks of it with the stock colors.

will be painting mine flat black over the winter along with the split seat swap at the same time. I'm also going to get the seats covered in candy apple red to go along with the new grips i'm getting in red and I'm also paintin my rims High Gloss candy appple red.

I'm considering installing "stompgrip" once i get the tank sanded and all that just not sure if it will have the same effect with paint over it.

Mine is a full flat black, it's a fairly cheap rattlecan job, but I did it fairly decently with no runs or cracks. It is hard to keep clean like everyone said, but I love it.

Here's a pic, she could use a good cleaning, but it gives you a pretty good idea of how she looks

i went through this same thought process. i had a red/black 99f4 with a silver/alum frame and came up with a white/black concept (yes, before the white 07 cbr rr's were out). heres how it turned out:
