need help adjusting clutch lever
 
hey guys i just bought a stock clutch perch and lever and cant get the clutch to engage. can anyone helpme?

yes i just cant get the clutch to engage. when i go to put it in gear it dies.

LOL, that one got me one night, took me 10 minutes to figure it out! lmao. Stupid kickstand. But if your clutch cable needs adjustment, turn your perch adjuster all the way in, then go to your cable adjustment down at the clutch. Adjust it until you have almost all the slack out of the cable. Then adjust your perch adjuster to fine tune how you like your clutch. When you put it into gear, is it clunking into gear or shifting smoothly then dying instantly. If it's the later, check your wires at the clutch perch, there are two which are for your ground of the starting system. If they're on, listen to akayn.
