My recent mods UPDATE!!

Nothing you all havent seen already just wanted to share my personal results, first I decided to add the mesh to the openings on the fairings. Relatively easy, I found the mesh used for gutters at home depot $2 for a piece big enough for both sides. Next, I had to cut a rough piece, holding the mesh in place over the opening I proceeded to cut and mold closer and closer. Portions of the foam padding had to be removed to allow space to glue it on. After shapping, molding, and triming the piece to size I decided to use "JB kwik weld", only appliyin it at key points not 100% all around just incase I ever need to remove it. Here are the pics....

2nd mod was triming of the rear fender that holds my license plates, I hated how long it was and specially that yellowish light. So I simply decided to disassemble, cut to desidered size, paint and put it all back together. Now it looks cleaner, instead of that ugly yellowish light for the plates I replaced it with some L.E.D. bolts they work great and light it up a lot with a cool soft light blue color. here are the pics

3rd was the switch for my L.E.D.s, I had a typical push button under the seat to keep people from messing with it but it quickly got old. So after some short research I found a Keyswitch I could mount any where and that could work my lights in a secure and cool way. here are the pics

If you all have any questions I'll be happy to help any one who needs info for their projects, laters and keep on riding!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice work. You made a much nicer cut then the previous owner did on the back of my bike....I wonder if i can just get a lighter and smooth it out.

thanks, try a "hand-file" made of metal, i used it to grid down some of the edges, theres more control than an open flame.

Thanks, I also forgot to talk bout the material, 3M Scotchlite. However I cant take all the credit the initial idea was mine but one of my boys that does decals for a living gave it the final touch and great work.

scastillo, dude, where'd you get that reflective tape? that's awesome -- visibility and it still looks cool. Nice work! and great pics to show it off.
