Default My new F4

Hey everyone! I just got a 1999 F4 w/ 9000 miles a few weeks ago and its been great so far. Carbs were a little gunked up when i got it but some seafoam took care of it. Im coming from a Ninja 500R so its quite the step up! Anyway I was curious about some aftermarket parts. I think im going to get a tinted double bubble windscreen, flush mounts in the front, integrated turn signal tail light, and make my own fiberglass undertail. My biggest question is with the signals. What kind of signals/relay should i look into if i want them to have running lights and blink at the appropriate rate. Any recommendations for the other stuff? It looks like you guys know what your talking about here. Thanks!

If you find anything out, let me know. I just picked up my F4 and wanted to do the same things. I know a guy who lays carbon fiber like a pro, thought about doing that for an undertail. Thanks, and enjoy the new bike.

Do a "search" on the turn signal/running light thing. There has been tons of talk on that very issue.

Your bike looks jsut like mine. I have a tinted double bubble screen, hotbodies turn signals (from www.hardracing.com) along with vortex frame sliders and a integrated tail light. I just added the rim tape this weekend (from www.tapeworks.com). Here is a couple of pics.

CWMC29 It seems we have a similar idea on what a bike should look like! Do you have any complaints about the fushmounts(blinking rate and such)? Where did you get your windscreen from? I like the really dark tint. It looks like you did some work with your license plate. What did you do? Can i see some pics? Also what taillight did you get? Im lookin at this one on ebay. Cost is a big priority for me.

Thanks!

I was looking at that tail light on Ebay as well. I owuld really like to hear if anyone has that product since Ebay can be so hit or miss with fitment/quality/reliability.

That Rim Tape looks sweet! I always thought it was a totally different wheel, not tape. But tape makes a ton mroe sense, duh. I'm definately looking into that now. Thanks!

cwmc29 -- Is the one $25 order enough for both sides of both wheels? Or just one? The website doesn't include much info -- especially on an orange CBR. They have three possible color matches listed like this: Orange #6030???, Tangerine Orange#6135???, Reflective Orange#6139??? Any advice? I am kinda leaning towards reflective so it pops a little, but if someone has seen there reflective colors in person and they look bad.

They give you 5 rolls of rim tape. It will cover the both sides of both wheels with one extra if you screw up.
JMart I would just give them a call, but if you want the reflective color then I think that would look cool.
The tail lightand flushmounts were purchased from www.hardracing.com and the tail light was expensive. To slow the flash rate down I got a relay from www.baysideperformance.com for $25. I took out the old flasher relay and plugged the new one in and it works great.
I bought the bike used and the screen came with the bike. It is made by Zero Gravity if that helps. Here are a couple of pics of the taillight working and my undertail replacment.
