Cool My First Track Day Oulton Park UK Fantastic

Well, had a great day on Tuesday at Oulton park on my first track day, first couple of sessions tootled around because I didn't have a clue where I was going, then by the 4th/5th.6th session was flying around having a great time. Just some piccies of the day... Was superbly organised, loads of track time, three offs luckily no one was injured on these... had a couple of tussles with bikes and was happy with how quickly I picked up the layout of the track. Think I might do the one in August now :-)

Only thing I need to do I think is service all the suspension, oil in shocks etc, as I've not done it since owning bike and get it setup for my weight.... just feels a little softer now... so will sort that I think.

And no, I didn't get my knee down lol

My CBR being a 1999 was the oldest bike on track by some time, YET easily held my own and by the end of the 5th and 6th sessions, I was probably riding in the top 3-4 people in my session (which was Novice). Even took some pretidge bikes on some corners a 1000RR BMW being one of them and a Ducatti... was chuffed to bits lol

Congratz. I just started doing them on my F4 as well. Last time out I left my bike with the onsite suspension guy to rebuild my forks and rear shock. I was getting terrible tire wear due to my suspension setup. No matter how much I adjusted things, it would always tear up the following edge of the tire treads. I guess after 15 years my suspension needed some work . Can't wait to get it back.
