Man I haven't really been on the forum much this year finally getting back to the bike and mods and therefore to the forum. Abby looks amazing you have done incredible work on her. I am going to be doing my swingarm here in the next month or so finally, have had it since the spring just haven't had the time or money to finish all the prep work to get it done. Have you gotten around to getting yours done yet? Look forward to hearing man, take it easy.

So the last time we talked last fall maybe this spring you were saying that you had to do a physical modification to make the 600 swingarm work, was that actually the case or was it mostly direct bolt?

Mostly direct bolt in, I had to widen a hole and get a fairing mount welded to a bolt other than that and it being slightly off until I adjusted it properly it was good. I used an 05-06 swinger most use an 03-04 one because more parts swap over and you have to buy less. The 05-06 rear wheel matches the 1000rr front so everything is tied in more.

Good to here I can take photos and give you the writeup that I used and it worked so you can see what I did, You will have to let me know how much resistance you get from the linkage. Just make sure you have a shock from a 1000rr not 600rr, other than that everything else from the 600rr will work very well. Oh the chain will be a bit longer I would say maybe 6 links or so, I bought a 120 link chain and cut it down to the right length.

Finally got around to updating the front page. I gotta do some digging, but I'll find it for ya. Yep the 600rr shock with its sideways resi won't clear the undertail and impacts on the bike, the 1000rr's shock resi is inline with the bike so if you flip it and re position the fuel pump you are golden, everything clears and the shock works perfectly! I spent a good 15 - 20 minutes playing with the 600rr shock hoping I could get it to fit but it wouldn't so I found an ohlins 1000rr shock for $600 and everything is peachy Just gotta set up my suspension.
