From red to positive it’s a .86 touching starter but and from red positive to ground of starter it drops to an 8.7

Brand new battery. Different brand from different store and still the same problem. Slow turn over with plugs in.

The battery starts out at a 13.06. Once I hit the starter it drops to 10.5 sometimes and sometimes it drops to 9.

Righty-ho , then if its only getting 9-10 at the Starter, could be one of the thicker wires on that section might be suspect, when you get a chance take off the 2 wires one from the positive terminal of the battery to the starter solenoid , and the other from the solenoid to the Starter motor, check each connector on those wires, also clean the connectors and replace , if doing this you come across one which is loose, tighten it and do the test again before taking anything off,

Hi, I checked the wires and did see damage on one of them. I changed that wire to another one (same wire from solenoid to starter motor) and now when I hit the starter the reading from Red Probe to positive post and Black Probe to starter motor is 1.03. I'm still getting a slow crawl on turn over and no steady crank.

Hi , good morning , just to clarify , your only getting 1.03 volts at the starter motor connection cable nut when you crank, is that right
