Making my 600 f4 faster?
I am looking to make my f4 a little faster. Mainly from 0mph to around 70mph, so basically mostly acceleration. So I have a few questions on what I want to do. If you guys could answer these options on how they will impact the power of the bike. If there is anything else I could do that is not listed could you please tell me. (NO turbo or NOS) What will this do to my bike's power:
520 Chain and -1 and +2 on the sprocket?
K&N Air filter?
Jetting the carbs?

That will help out on the 0-70 but your over all topend will be lower. Not that it will be a big deal as they go fast enough on top.... what exhaust do you have? If you are adding more air and fuel you need to make it flow out the back freer.... doing the jets with the K+N will not do much with stock exhaust. The gearing will also throw your speedo off calibration. It will def help your accel...

Here you can see how the gearing approx. will affect your bike.
Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator
I you only want faster acceleration, just do the gearing and this is also the mod where you get most for your money.
K&N filter is worth nothing with out an exhaust. I recon a filter + end can is worth max 5hp. If you want more you have to go for a full system.
Jet kit would be the last thing on my list, but definitely gives some life to the engine!
My old set up was K&N + full system micron + Dyno jet kit and it had 102bhp on the rear wheel which in my opinion is pretty good for this bike and with lower gearing more than enough to keep up with newer bikes.
