you guys have any recommendations? my buddy picked up a *141*dB horn for his car, id LOVE to have something like that on the bike.

 

Or you can just get a louder exhaust and when I ride, I have my highbeams on all the time, it's not safe to ride without your hi's on

 

i have an m4 exhaust, sounds good not hugely loud unless im up around 8k+ rpm's or WOT.

 

I'm not sure the horn can be replaced, isn't it operated thru the battery, so I mean you could put something bigger, idk about the connectors or how you would not fry some fuses trying to rig it, but I'm sure it can be done, like what kind of horn do you want a truck horn? lol jk don't take it personal, I want one too! What would be awesome is if you could setup a PA system like they have in cop cars, the ones that sound like a mega phone and you can talk thru it, man would I be telling some people off, I already get road rage from people that cut me off, I have yet to kick any doors yet though... someone is going to get it one of these days, it's bubbling up...

It is opeated through the battery. I think that is what he meant. I think the horn is actually one of the louder bike horns and people here me all the time!

 

I know my horn is louder then most car horns. I dunno if my horn is different then yours.....

 

My horn's pretty wimpy.
Just like their cars, Honda horns suck.

And yes.. you can definately change the horn maybe some air horns would be amazing for blasting idiot drivers.

 

Horns are pretty simple actually. Its generally a two-wire connection; cars or bikes. It uses electrical resistance to activate a diaphragm inside of the housing, which is what makes the tone. With a little connector modification, you should be able to use just about any horn. Some horns take more power to operate, however, so it might not sound the same on your bike as it did on the donor vehicle.
