Default Locked keys in the bike.

I locked my damn keys in the bike.

I took the seat off to place the passenger helmet on the 'L' tab but I almost dropped my keys, so I set them on the undertail.
Got the helmet attached and put the seat back on. Sat on the bike and went to turn it on, NO KEYS.

So I pryed my seat up half an inch in the middle with a small prybar, Took a tiny flashlight I got free from some damn electronics order from China and
fished then keys out with a coat hanger.

Spent the next hour riding around looking for a place to make me a spare key, but no one does.

At least I have a good story for parties.

LOL, thats funny.

only place that I found to make a spare key for my bike is the dealership....but the one closest to my house doesnt even make them, they can order a blank key, but then I would have to take it to another dealership to get it cut? stupid...so I only have one key...

try ace hardware if you have one around you. I tried lowes, home depot, and somewhere else. I finally found it at ace hardware and they cut me one for like 2.50. Its the one i use everytime i ride. The other hangs with the rest of my spares in the cabinet.

Ace would probably be the best shot short of going to an actual locksmith. If you want a true honda key order the blank online then take it to a locksmith to cut it. Most dealerships don't seem to be able to cut keys....which I suppose makes sense.

I had a spare made at the dealership. I had to give them the VIN to look up the cut code though. Costed about $5 for one key, but they also wrote the code down for me so I may end uptrying Ace Hardware and see if it's cheaper there.
