Default Instument Cluster Bolt Q... In My Seemingly Neverending quest for stuff..

So I am finding some bits and pieces that either the previous owner or one of the POs lost along the way. I need the lower fairing trim clips and front "V" section clips, along with a couple of allen headed fairing bolts.. those seems to be relatively easy to get from bikebandit or ron ayers (of course if anyone has some they want to sell, please let me know).

The one bolt that I can't seem to find available or get specs for so I can get one myself is the one that retains the instrument panel trim to the panel itself..

Here is a picture. the red arrow is pointing to where it would thread in.

I can't really get anything in there to find the thread sise, pitch and length.. so I'm stuck...
Does anyone:
Know where I can get it?
Know the thread size, pitch and length?
Have one from a parts bike or spare stuff they want to sell?

Thanks,
Adam

Thumbs up

ive had luck identifying apropriate bolts where there is nothing to go off by pulling bolts that do a similar job from elsewhere nearby on my bike, oiling them and very gently test threading them in by hand to the empty hole. honda usually will not needlessly make more bolts than they need so they are repeated throughout the bike.
youll know by the 3rd turn if it jams its wrong.
then you can bring that bolt to the metric section of your friendly neighborhood hardware store...
i permanent marker them black sometimes so they really match!
thats my best guess . good luck

Yeah, typically most of the bolts on these bikes are just standard 6x1.00 bolts... pretty sure that one isn't much different. Pull it out.. look at it :P

I just pulled that bolt out this so I could do a lil "gauge" modding. I let you know what it is tomorrow .

that would be awesome dmcb. Thanks a lot!

mk2mike: that would be my next step.. I picked up some nylon rivets that should be dead ringers for the stock trim clips that go underneath to tie the lower fairings together... little things missing from POs that lose stuff I guess...

thanks for the link. Bikebolts is awesome, but they dont show that specific bolt.. only body bolts it seems. If you are right, and it is just a trim clip/phillips head screw like the lower fairings have, I might be able to do with the ones I picked up yesterday.

dmcb: can you confirm this?

Thanks
Adam
